The goal at this level is to have fun and learn to enjoy the game of baseball, while building fundamental baseball skills and practicing safety and safely. We incorporate a mix of practices, games, clinics, and encourage high activity with lots of repetitions so the players learn fielding, throwing, hitting, and running. It’s not just the players who are learning the game. A lot of coaches are new too. 

Dugout Captain helps our coaches get going with practice plans, game rules, and we encourage creativity and energy to keep it moving and fun.  We don’t keep score and have no umpires at this level, but the kids definitely compete on the field. Pee Wee Baseball uses a tee to start and switches to coach pitching later in the season. 

By the end of the season kids should know general rules, which bases to advance to and positions on the field. Most of all, they should want to play again next year!!!!
